KAMON fascinates me because it transforms identity into design through pure geometry, balance, and symbolism. What began as family crests used to represent heritage and lineage evolved into a timeless visual language that still feels modern today. I was drawn to the way these centuries-old symbols can exist beyond tradition, influencing fashion, architecture, and contemporary art without losing their cultural depth.

My pattern work is inspired by this idea of evolution. Rather than recreating traditional KAMON directly, I reinterpret their symmetry, repetition, and structure through my own visual perspective. Each pattern explores the connection between heritage and modern design, blending Japanese cultural influence with a contemporary experimental approach.

Through these works, I want to create more than surface-level graphics. I want the patterns to feel like a bridge between past and future, tradition and innovation, Japan and the modern global creative landscape.
